Interventional Orthobiologics Fellowship Program
Your career, your future

ABOUT US

New Regenration Orthopaedics proudly offers Florida’s first interventional orthobiologics fellowship program, advancing education in this innovative and rapidly growing field of Interventional Orthopedics (IO). IO combines orthopedic surgery and sports medicine with natural, cell- and tissue-derived procedures to stimulate healing and recovery utilizing the body’s natural healing processes.

Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to provide fellows with the expertise and skills to excel as leaders in this emerging specialty. Supported by a team of experienced attendings, we are dedicated to fostering innovation and maintaining the highest standards of medical education.

Fellows will master advanced procedures such as bone marrow aspirations (BMA), adipose tissue procedures, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. These cutting-edge procedures aim to alleviate discomfort from musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative conditions, offering patients effective alternatives to traditional surgery.

FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The fellowship program being offered by New Regeneration of Florida in interventional orthobiologics is a 12-month education and training program and divided into three key areas, education, proctored clinical care, and research. Fellows will have access to IOF online training programs and each month will focus on a different topic area.

First 6 Months:

  • The primary goal of the fellowship is to cultivate a skilled clinical physician. To achieve this, the program will begin with a structured, proctored clinical care training focused on the development of comprehensive evaluation skills which includes history taking, examinations, and the use of diagnostic ultrasound in the context of the patient’s entire medical history as well as the procedural skill needed for the application of percutaneous image-guided procedures utilizing orthobiologic materials (eg, platelet-rich plasma, bone marrow concentrate, microfragmented adipose, etc) during the first six months.

Second 6 months:

  • In the second half of the fellowship, the fellow will gradually take on more independent clinical responsibilities, which includes managing their own clinic and billing for services.
Throughout the year, attending physicians will encourage the fellow to develop a research proposal.
